Board of Directors is expanding and looking for new members!

Iowa Harm Reduction Coalition’s Board of Directors invite Iowans to submit an application to join the body that steers the growth, focus, and programming of IHRC.

IHRC’s Board of Directors believes that a wide array of knowledge, experiences, and expertise are vital to shaping the future of our organization.  As a board member, you would attend monthly evening meetings (via video/phone), provide fundraising and development assistance, and serve as a liaison between IHRC and your professional networks and/or the community in which you live. In addition, you would have the opportunity to serve in an officer capacity, including as Chair, Chair-elect, Secretary, or Treasurer. Terms for board members are set at two-years with the possibility of renewal. Applications are welcomed from people living in any part of the state, of any age, gender identity, race, ethnicity, or professional background and encourages applications from people who are living with HIV, hepatitis, disabilities, mental illness, or have a current / past history of drug use. We have no requirements regarding level of education or financial contribution. If you are passionate about health equity for people who use drugs, prioritize harm reduction values, and wish to make a direct impact on rising overdose deaths, we look forward to hearing from you!
