Get involved with IHRC
IHRC is a 100% volunteer run organization and operates without any paid staff. Volunteers involved in the coalition do critical and meaningful work in order to care for their community members. In our state's current political climate, this is a radical act.
Volunteers lead and assist with weekly street-based outreach and naloxone distribution; lead training sessions about overdose and harm reduction for community members; write grants and organize fundraising activities; coordinate legislative advocacy; engage new community members in harm reduction work; and provide social media and communications coordination. All IHRC volunteers and work group members must submit an application and participate in a volunteer training. Volunteer trainings are held regularly and an upcoming training is scheduled for Saturday, August 26.
If you are interested in volunteering with IHRC, please fill out the volunteer application below and we will be in touch with you to schedule an interview. Please note that there are no right or wrong answers to our application questions, we simply want to get to know you.
